Pragati College spreads awareness about environmental Conservation among students through sapling plants “

As said successful plantation programs require careful planning, including species selection, site preparation, and post-planting care, as well as community involvement. 

Raipur: Pragati College Education Department organised a sapling plantation program by Eco Club in Pt. Sundarlal Sharma Higher Secondary School, Sundar Nagar on Thursday August 7 , 2025 . In which saplings were planted to maintain the cleanliness and natural balance of the school.

In this plantation, medicinal saplings were given the priority and a pledge was observed to take care of plants till doomsday . The imputes of sapling plantation was to create an impact of love for mother nature and awareness towards environment conservation among school and college students.

In the education department, B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. students and teachers have planted saplings which are as follows -Tulsi  ( Sacred basil), Neem (Indian lilac), Amla (Indian gooseberry), Bel (Indian quince), Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia), Aloe Vera( Aloe barbandensis miller ), Sadabahar (Periwinkle), Curry leaves and other saplings have been planted.

On the occasion of this sapling plantation program, Principal of Pt. Sundarlal Sharma Higher Secondary School, M.M. Sharma and Vice-Principal Ranjana Thakur,Head of Education Department of Pragati College, Dr. K.N. Gajpal and all the professors of Pragati College ( Education Department) and school students were present.

By planting a sapling each, everyone showed their participation in conservation of the mother nature .
