The suspense continues over the hijacked Jaffar Express train in Balochistan, Pakistan. While the Pakistani Army claims that it has completed the rescue operation, on the other hand the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) says that the claims made by ISPR are false and Pakistan is trying unsuccessfully to hide its defeat. Meanwhile, Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif arrived on a visit to Balochistan on Thursday, where he reviewed the law and order situation.
Shahbaz Sharif was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Ataullah Tarar, Federal Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Science and Technology Minister Nawabzada Mir Khalid Magsi and others in Balochistan.
‘Fighting is going on on many fronts’
Amid the Pak PM’s Baloch tour, the Baloch Liberation Army issued a statement saying, ‘The claims made by ISPR are false and Pakistan is trying unsuccessfully to hide its defeat. The ground reality is that fighting is going on on many fronts and the enemy is suffering heavy losses and military damage. The Pak army has neither been able to win on the battlefield nor has it been able to save its hostage personnel.’
BLA’s claim
The BLA claimed that the persons who the Pakistani state and its propaganda machinery have claimed to have recovered were actually released by the Baloch Liberation Army itself under its war ethics and international norms. On the contrary, the Pakistani army continues to hide its defeat through propaganda by releasing its personnel as hostages.
‘Pak army targeting Baloch people’
The BLA claims that the war is currently in full swing and the freedom fighters are forcing Pakistan to retreat on all fronts. After failing in the ground battle, the defeated army has started targeting the local Baloch population in an attempt to take revenge for its military helplessness by attacking unarmed civilians.
The Baloch Liberation Army has started targeting the local Baloch population and forcing the Pakistani state to show seriousness on the issue of prisoners of war.
The Baloch Liberation Army had given the Pakistani state a chance to show seriousness on the issue of prisoners of war and take steps towards prisoner exchange, but instead of saving the lives of its soldiers, the Pak army is adamant on the war. Now that the state has left its hostages to die, it will also be responsible for their death. Our struggle will continue till victory.
BLA claimed that the battle is now out of the control of the Pakistani state. The defeat of the enemy is inevitable in every confrontation and the BLA is fighting with all its might to bring this war to its logical conclusion on its own terms.
‘Permission to visit the area’
The BLA challenges Pakistan to accept the ground reality. If the Pak Army really claims victory, it should allow independent journalists and unbiased sources to visit the war-torn areas so that the world can know how much loss the Pakistani Army has suffered.
What is the claim of the Pak Army
Earlier on Wednesday March 12 ,2025 night, Director General of Pakistani Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary had said that all the hostages have been rescued and 33 BLA insurgents have been killed.
The statement said, ‘The Pakistan Army, along with the Air Force, Frontier Corps (FC) and Special Service Group (SSG), killed 33 terrorists who attacked the train in Bolan in a rescue operation and all the hostages were rescued safely. However, 21 passengers and four soldiers died in the accident.
