Pakistani spy arrested in UP: ATS nabbed Shahzad from Moradabad, he was sending confidential information to ISI

During interrogation, he told that he used to send people from Rampur as well as from many other places of the state to Pakistan under the guise of smuggling for the purpose of working for ISI.
ATS arrested Rampur resident Shahzad on Sunday for spying on the instructions of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. He was in contact with several ISI handlers and was sending confidential information. Also, he used to send money to several ISI agents on the instructions of the handlers. He has also sent some people to Pakistan for spying.
He used to do smuggling on the border
ATS had received intelligence information that a youth from Rampur works as a smuggler on the India-Pakistan border, who is protected by ISI. He is involved in anti-national activities of spying for ISI.
He has been going to Pakistan for many years
After thorough investigation, it was found that Shahzad, a resident of Azad Nagar in Tanda, Rampur, has been going to Pakistan for the last several years. He secretly brings cosmetics, clothes, spices and other goods between India and Pakistan from across the border and works for ISI under the cover of this. He is in constant contact with ISI agents and has shared confidential information related to the security of the country.
ISI agents used to arrange visas
Then ATS registered a case against him and arrested him from Moradabad. During interrogation, he told that he used to send people from Rampur as well as many other places of the state to Pakistan for the purpose of working for ISI under the guise of smuggling. ISI agents used to arrange their visas etc. Shahzad had also provided Indian SIMs to ISI for spying against India. ATS will present him before the court on Monday and will request for remand.
