Padma Shri Surendra Dubey wrote a poem on the rumor of his death and used to recite it in humorous kavi sammelans and make people laugh.

People came to my door

Saying that Dubey ji is finished Bhaiya

You were laughing a lot..

I went out and said- hey shut up this is the cock of comedy, the bird of laughter

Don’t worry Babu, Tiger is still alive.

A man called my wife

He said- Dubey ji is finished,

My wife said where is our luck like this

He came at night and ate paneer

Pizza is his favourite

I am worried that Tiger is still alive.

A man looked sad, I asked him, he is the wood seller of the crematorium

He said the wood from there cannot be returned, you will have to die

Otherwise I will have a loss of 1600 rupees

I said- hey don’t worry crazy Tiger is still alive.
