After Operation Sindoor, Pakistan’s dual character once again came to the fore when its army personnel and members of Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed’s organisation Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JUD) were seen together in the funeral procession of three terrorists.
After the Pahalgam terror attack, there is an atmosphere of fear in Pakistan due to the continuous attacks by the Indian Army. The army destroyed terrorist hideouts at nine places through ‘Operation Sindoor’. At the same time, Pakistani army personnel and members of the banned organisation Jamaat-ud-Dawa of Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed attended the funeral of three people on Wednesday May 7 , 2025 . These three were killed in the Indian Army’s air strike in Muridke on same day . Muridke is about 40 kilometers away from Lahore.
Tabish Qayyum, spokesperson of Pakistan Markazi Muslim League, the political organisation of Jamaat-ud-Dawa, said that Namaz-e-Janaza was offered to Qari Abdul Malik, Khalid and Mudassir amid tight security. Qayyum himself was also present in the funeral. He told that officials of the civil administration also participated in this funeral.
Fussed by India’s military action, Qayyum said, the attack by India will be answered. He said that when the attack happened, these three people were sleeping in a room near the mosque and the mosque was destroyed. Pakistanis Malik, Khalid and Mudassir are said to be members of Jamaat ud-Dawa and were Imams and caretakers in that mosque. After Namaaz-e-Janaza, the bodies of the three were sent to their native areas for burial.
