Omar Abdullah Oath Ceremony: Today on Wednesday October 16 is an important day for Jammu and Kashmir. ‘Omar Abdullah Raj’ will begin in Jammu and Kashmir from today. National Conference President Omar Abdullah will take oath as Chief Minister . The ceremony will be held at 11.30 am at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC). During this time, 9 ministers of Abdullah cabinet can also take oath. Many opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Mamta Banerjee and Akhilesh Yadav are expected to attend the ceremony. However, the party has invited about 50 opposition leaders to the swearing-in ceremony.

Out of 90 seats, the National Conference has won 42 and Congress has won 6 assembly seats. At the same time, BJP was successful in winning 29 assembly seats. NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that Sharad Pawar is ill, so his daughter Supriya Sule is coming. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ame Stalin was also supposed to come, but now his sister Kanimozhi Karunanidhi is coming.
