No shortage of fertilizers in the committees for the farmers-CM Vishnu Deo Sai

*94 percent of the fertilizers stored as per the Kharif target, 70 percent also distributed
*More than three lakh bottles of Nano DAP available to deal with the shortage of DAP
Raipur: In the current Kharif season, the state has sufficient quantity of chemical fertilizers available for farming.
The state government has so far stored 94 percent of the fertilizers from the target set for chemical fertilizers in the current Kharif season. Along with this, 70 percent of the stored fertilizers have also been distributed to the farmers.
Chemical fertilizers like urea, NPK, potash, super phosphate are available in sufficient quantity in the state and farmers are continuously getting them from government committees as per their demands. For this Kharif season, a target of 14 lakh 62 thousand metric tonnes of fertilizer storage has been set in the state. Against this target, till now 13 lakh 78 thousand metric tonnes of chemical fertilizers are being stored in government and private sectors and made available to farmers.
Out of the fertilizers stored in the state so far, farmers have lifted 10 lakh 20 thousand metric tonnes. To deal with the global shortage of solid DAP, the state government has also stored more than 3 lakh 5 thousand bottles of Nano DAP as an alternative. To deal with the shortage of DAP, farmers are being constantly advised by the agriculture staff to use mixed fertilizers. Along with this, rapid action is also being taken against those who sell fertilizers at high prices by black marketing or hoarding.
According to information from agriculture officials, 6 lakh 22 thousand metric tonnes of urea has been stored in the state for the current Kharif season. Out of which 4 lakh 87 thousand metric tonnes of urea has been distributed to the farmers so far, which is 68 percent of the total storage. Similarly, after storing 2 lakh 22 thousand metric tonnes of NPK, 1 lakh 70 thousand metric tonnes have been distributed so far. Which is 95 percent of the storage.
More than 77 thousand metric tonnes of potash and more than 2 lakh 76 thousand metric tonnes of super phosphate have been stored in the state for distribution in the current Kharif season. Out of these, 90 percent i.e. about 53 thousand metric tonnes of potash and 83 percent i.e. about 1 lakh 66 thousand metric tonnes of super phosphate have been lifted by the farmers so far. More than 1 lakh 79 thousand metric tonnes of DAP fertilizer has been stored in the state for the Kharif season this year. Out of which 46 percent i.e. about 1 lakh 41 thousand metric tonnes have been lifted by the farmers.
On the instructions of the state government, more than 3 lakh 5 thousand bottles of Nano DAP have been stored by IFFCO company in the state. Out of this, 82 thousand 470 bottles are stored in double lock centers, 1 lakh 41 thousand 389 bottles in primary cooperative agricultural credit societies and 48 thousand bottles of liquid nano DAP are stored in the private sector.
IFFCO still has more than 33 thousand bottles of nano DAP left. A half liter bottle of nano DAP is available to farmers at the rate of Rs 600 in cooperative societies.
