Joint Director of Health Department Dr. Sanjay Mishra told news agency PTI that the woman was a resident of neighboring Mandla district and she already had lung disease. Dr. Mishra said, ‘The woman came to the Government Medical College Hospital on Friday for delivery. She gave birth to the child on Saturday. Later she started having problems in the lungs, after which a corona test was done and the report came positive.’

A sad news has come from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. A 27-year-old woman died of Covid-19 on Sunday June 15, 2025 . The woman gave birth to a child on Saturday June 14, 2025 at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Jabalpur, but she died the very next day. This information was given by an official.

Dr Mishra said, ‘The woman came to the Government Medical College Hospital for delivery on Friday. She gave birth to the child on Saturday. Later she started having trouble in her lungs, after which a corona test was done and the report came positive.’

Three cases of corona in a week

After the report came positive, the woman was shifted to isolation, where she died. Dr Mishra further said that a 70-year-old man is currently undergoing treatment for corona infection in the hospital.

He said that in the last one week, three corona positive cases have been reported in Jabalpur, in which one person was a resident of Katni district and one was this deceased woman.
