Health Checkup , awareness and voluntary blood donation camp organised at Pragati College

Raipur: As part of the Seva Pakhwada (service fortnight), the Community Cell at Pragati College organised a medical awareness camp and voluntary blood donation drive on Saturday October 11, 2025. This event was jointly organised by Better India and the Maa Foundation.
The program began with a prayer service dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. Principal of the College Dr. Sounya Nayyar raised awareness among the students about health and well-being, encouraging them to contribute to saving lives through blood donation. This event is an important opportunity for students to understand the importance of health checkups.

Over 300 participants enthusiastically participated in the program. Demonstrating awareness of their health, students underwent eye and dental checkups, and 36 students donated blood. They also consulted a psychiatrist for mental health issues.

Under the joint auspices of the founders of Better India and the Maa Foundation, their team included Dr. Seema (gynecologist), Dr. Soeb Khan (psychiatrist), Dr. Akita Sadani (urologist), Dr. Vivek (ophthalmologist), and program coordinator Riya Tiwari, whose cooperation and support made the event possible.
Principal Dr. Soumya Nair, Community Cell Coordinator Dr. K.N. Gajpal, Members, Administrators JyotThakur, and department heads from the departments of Commerce & Management, Computer Science, Education and Journalism and Mass Communication , along with faculties and students, were present at this awareness program.
