On the issue of tariff, spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India-US relations are very strong, multidimensional. At the same time, economic relations are very special. We have established mechanisms between the US and India to discuss any matter related to trade. We are also keeping an eye on this issue.

He said that we have been constantly raising the issue of delay in issuing visas from the concerned countries. If visas are issued easily, then mutual and economic relations between the people of the two countries will improve. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has also raised this matter with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

We will take back Indian citizens, but with proper documents

Regarding illegal immigration, the Ministry of External Affairs said that we are against illegal immigration. It is linked to many forms of organized crime. Not only in the US but anywhere in the world, if Indian citizens are staying longer than the prescribed time or they are in a particular country without proper documents, then we will take them back, provided the concerned country shares the documents with us. So that we can confirm their nationality and ensure that they are really Indians. If this happens, we will pursue the matter and help bring them back to India.

Freedom of expression cannot be obstructed

Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that we have seen many reports of how the film Emergency is being disrupted in many halls. We constantly raise concerns with the UK government about incidents of violent protests and threats from anti-India elements. Freedom of speech and expression cannot be obstructed. Those who obstruct it should be held accountable. We hope that the UK will take appropriate action against those responsible. The Indian High Commission in London is in regular touch with our community members for their safety and benefit.

Fence being erected to prevent crime
The Ministry of External Affairs said that several agreements have been signed between India and Bangladesh to erect fences on the border. Fencing on the border is necessary so that crime can be prevented. We want positive implementation of the agreements made with Bangladesh to erect fences on the border.
