Mahakumbh 2025: People’s faith is not decreasing even after Vasant Panchami, the number of devotees has crossed 40 crores

The crowd of devotees in Maha Kumbh is not decreasing. On Friday February 7, 2025 , the number of Devotees crossed 40 crores. After Vasant Panchami, the crowd has suddenly increased. Entry of vehicles in the fair has also been stopped.
The Snan of saints, devotees, Kalpvasis, bathers and householders filled with reverence and faith in the holy confluence of Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna and invisible Maa Saraswati has now reached a new peak. In this sequence, the number of bathers has crossed the figure of 40 crores till Friday. There are still 19 days left for the Maha Kumbh and it is expected that the number of bathers can cross 50 crores.
Even after the three Amrit Snans (Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya and Basant Panchami) in Prayagraj, there is no decrease in the enthusiasm and zeal of the devotees. From different parts of the country and the world, devotees are reaching Prayagraj in lakhs every day to attain virtue by taking a dip in the holy Triveni with reverence and faith. Even after the last Amrit Snan festival of Basant Panchami, crores of devotees are reaching the Triveni Sangam to take a bath. In this, 10 lakh Kalpvasis as well as devotees and saints from the country and abroad were involved.

If we analyse the number of devotees who have taken bath till now, the maximum number of devotees, 8 crore, took bath on Mauni Amavasya, while 3.5 crore devotees took Amrit Snan on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. On 1st February and 30th January, 2-2 crore devotees took holy dip and on Paush Purnima, 1.7 crore devotees took holy dip. Apart from this, on Basant Panchami, 2.57 crore devotees took holy dip in Triveni.

These prominent people have taken the holy dip so far
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (including cabinet) have taken a dip in Sangam. Apart from this, state Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, Manipur CM N Biren Singh, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Shripad Naik, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murthy, Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary, SP National President Akhilesh Yadav, Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey, Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan, Hema Malini, former MP Dinesh Lal Yadav “Nirahua”, Bollywood actresses Bhagyashree, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Saina Nehwal, actress turned Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara Mamta Kulkarni, renowned poet Kumar Vishwas, cricketer Suresh Raina, wrestler Khali, choreographer Remo D’Souza, Bollywood actress Isha Gupta, apart from senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad have also taken bath in Sangam. On February 10, President Draupadi Murmu will also come to take a holy dip in Sangam.

Protocols for these people have arrived
Among the VIP leaders, protocols for the arrival of Governor of Nagaland on 8th February, Chief Minister of Sikkim on 10th February and Governors of Arunachal and West Bengal on 10th February have arrived. Apart from this, more than 20 central and other state ministers and chief ministers are expected to arrive. Film actresses may also come to the fair. However, their written program has not been finalized yet.

Everyone is asking for tent city and motorboat
VIPs are coming to Maha Kumbh Mela from every corner of the country. After sending their programs, everyone is demanding rooms and motorboats in the tent city. The fair administration had earlier arranged for 150 rooms, but considering the number of visitors, the number of rooms has been increased by 60 more. 15 to 20 VIPs are staying with them. Everyone needs more than ten rooms. In such a situation, the fair administration is facing problems.
