Kuwait: PM Modi receives Kuwait’s highest civilian honor; honored with ‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir’

‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir’ is awarded to heads of state and foreign sovereigns and members of foreign royal families as a sign of friendship. Before PM Modi, ‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir’ has also been awarded to foreign leaders like Bill Clinton, Prince Charles and George Bush.

Prime Minister Modi has been awarded the highest civilian honour of Kuwait. Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah honoured Prime Minister Narendra Modi with ‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir’. PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Kuwait. Earlier, 19 countries have honoured Prime Minister Narendra Modi with their highest honours. This is the 20th country to be included in this list.

PM Modi has been given this award for strengthening good relations between India and Kuwait. ‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir’ is awarded to heads of state and foreign sovereigns and members of foreign royal families as a sign of friendship. Before PM Modi, foreign leaders like Bill Clinton, Prince Charles and George Bush have also been awarded ‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir’.

These countries honoured PM Modi last month
Earlier last month, Guyana and Barbados honoured PM Modi with their highest civilian honours. Guyana honoured PM Modi with the highest national honour – The Order of Excellence, while in Barbados, PM Modi was awarded the prestigious Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados. Dominica also recently gave him the highest honour.

Which countries have honoured PM Modi?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most popular leader at the global level. He was declared the most popular leader in a survey. Not only this, many countries have also honoured him with their highest award. For his leadership at the regional and global level, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been honoured with the highest national awards of 20 countries since 2014, as well as the United Nations’ highest environmental award.

Let us tell you that PM Modi was awarded the State Order of Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan by Afghanistan in the year 2016, Grand Collar of the State of Palestine by Palestine in February 2018, UN Champion of the Earth Award by the United Nations in October 2018. At the same time, he was honoured with the Order of Zayed by the UAE in April 2019 and the Order of St. Andrew Award by Russia in April 2019. Apart from this, PM Modi was awarded the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin by Maldives in June 2019, King Hamad Order of the Renaissance by Bahrain in August 2019, Legion of Merit by the US in December 2020, Order of the Dragon King by Bhutan in December 2021, Order of Fiji by Fiji and Order of Logohu by Papua New Guinea in May this year.
Egypt has also given the highest state honor to the PM

At the same time, in June last year, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi honored Prime Minister Modi with the ‘Order of the Nile’ award. This is Egypt’s highest state honor. He was awarded the Companion of the Order of Logohu by Papua New Guinea in May 2023, Companion of the Order of Fiji in May 2023, Abakal Award by the Republic of Palau in May 2023.

France and Russia have also left no stone unturned in giving awards
In July 2023, France honoured Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Legion of Honour. This is France’s highest honour. PM Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to receive this honour. The Legion of Honour has been awarded to select prominent leaders and eminent personalities from around the world. These include former South African President Nelson Mandela, then Prince of Wales King Charles, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former UN Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali, among others. Last July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded Russia’s highest honour, the ‘Order of St. Andrew the Apostle’.
