CSIS in its 2024 annual report has confirmed India’s long-standing concerns and acknowledged the presence of Khalistani extremists in Canada.

Finally, Canada has also accepted that Khalistani terrorists are spreading violence in India while sitting in Canada. The Indian government has been saying this for a long time, but the former Trudeau government did not pay attention to it, but now the government led by Mark Carney in Canada has admitted that Khalistanis are using Canada to spread violence in India.

Claim in the report of Canadian intelligence agency

In a report, Canadian intelligence agency Canada Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) has for the first time officially acknowledged the presence of Khalistani extremists in Canada and their connection with violence in India. The report states that Khalistani extremists in Canada have been involved in supporting violence in India, collecting funds for violence and plotting violent activities.

In its 2024 annual report, CSIS has confirmed India’s long-standing concerns and admitted that there is a presence of Khalistani extremists in Canada. This is an important thing from India’s point of view. The report states that ‘politically motivated violent extremism began in the mid-1980s with Khalistani extremists in Canada, who wanted to create a separate country Khalistan in India’s Punjab through violence. Now a small number of Khalistani extremists in Canada are engaged in their efforts through violence.
