Axar Patel ended this partnership by dismissing Butler. Butler scored 52 runs in 67 balls with the help of four fours. Then Harshit Rana dismissed Liam Livingstone (5 runs) and Mohammad Shami dismissed Brydon Carse (10 runs) to make England’s score 206 runs for 7 wickets.
Shortly after Brydon Carse was out, Jacob Bethell also completed his fifty. However, Bethell too could not prolong his half-century innings like Butler. Bethell was out LBW by Ravindra Jadeja. Bethell scored 51 runs in 64 balls, which included 3 fours and a six. England also lost the wickets of Adil Rashid and Saqib Mahmood cheaply against Bethell.
