Earlier also the India-Pakistan match of the group stage was canceled because players and a main sponsor of the tournament protested.

According to media reports, a company named EaseMyTrip, which was the sponsor of the tournament, also distanced itself from the semi-final match. The company’s co-founder Nishant Pitti said that respecting the sentiments of the people of India, we are withdrawing from this match. According to him, “Terrorism and terrorism cannot go together.

Former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan also said that they will not play against Pakistan. India did not have a good start in this tournament.
