IND vs NZ ICC Champions Trophy Final: Varun Chakravarthy came to the party for the second time in the match, once again when there was a partnership building between Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips. This was the second fifty-run stand for New Zealand and both were broken by Chakravarthy at a crucial stage of the match. Before this, he got rid of Will Young in his second over after New Zealand got off to a flyer against the Indian new ball bowlers. Rachin Ravindra was ruthless against Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya as India captain Rohit Sharma was forced to go to Varun for a breakthrough. This was after Ravindra was dropped not once but twice by the Indians. Shami failed to hold on to the caught and bowled chance while Shreyas Iyer failed to hold on to a tough chance at deep mid-wicket at the Dubai International Stadium. But Ravindra failed to capitalise on the dropped chances as Kuldeep Yadav cleaned him up in the first ball of his first over, helping India to roar back in the match. Kane Williamson and Tom Latham soon followed Ravindra to the dressing room, leaving New Zealand in a spot of bother. Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat in the big game. The Men in Blue have been brilliant in the tournament and reached the final undefeated. They beat Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand in the league stage before beating Australia in the semifinal. New Zealand, on the other hand, defeated Pakistan and Bangladesh but lost to India in the last league game. They beat South Africa in the semifinal to qualify for the playoffs. Kuldeep Yadav got the prized wicket of Kane Williamson for 11.
Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell will have to stitch together a quick partnership here for the Kiwis. Mitchell will hold the key for New Zealand.

Halt! Varun Chakaravarthy seems to have hurt his right foot while attempting to stop the previous ball. He looks a bit uncomfortable, and the physio is out for a quick check. He looks fine for now as he receives some treatment and strapping from the physio. A slight scare, but he seems ready to continue.
