The third day of the ongoing first Test match between India and England ended early due to rain. India has scored 90 runs after losing two wickets in the second innings. With this, their lead has increased to 96 runs. KL Rahul is at the crease with 47 runs and Shubman Gill is at the crease with six runs.

The third day’s play of the ongoing first Test match between India and England ended early due to rain. India have scored 90 runs for the loss of two wickets in the second innings. With this, their lead has increased to 96 runs. KL Rahul is at the crease with 47 and Shubman Gill with six runs.

India had scored 471 runs in the first innings. England scored 465 runs for 10 wickets in their first innings kuddos to Ollie Pope’s century and Harry Brook’s innings of 99 runs. In this way India gained a lead of six runs. By the end of the third day’s play in the second innings, Team India had scored 90 runs for two wickets and their lead increased to 96 runs.

India started with a setback in the second innings. Brydon Carse got Yashasvi Jaiswal caught by wicketkeeper Jamie Smith on a score of 16. He could score only four runs in 11 balls. After this, KL Rahul and Sai Sudarshan took over the front. There was a partnership of 66 runs between the two for the second wicket which was broken by Ben Stokes. He got Sudarshan caught by Jack Crowley. He was dismissed after scoring 30 runs in 48 balls. By the end of the day’s play, opener KL Rahul scored 47 runs with the help of seven fours in 75 balls and Shubman Gill scored six runs with the help of one four in 10 balls and remained at the crease.
