The Chhattisgarh government has entrusted 2021-batch IAS officer Ashish Kumar Tikriha with the additional charge of Director, Public Relations, adding a key responsibility to his existing administrative role.

The General Administration Department issued the order on September 28, under which Tikriha will handle the Public Relations Directorate in addition to his present responsibilities as Managing Director of the Chhattisgarh Warehousing Corporation. The arrangement takes effect immediately.

Additional Responsibility Alongside Warehousing Corporation

The appointment places Tikriha in charge of a department that plays a central role in the state government’s public communication system and dissemination of information relating to government programmes, policies and development initiatives.

As Director of Public Relations, his responsibilities will also involve the department’s administrative functioning and coordination associated with dissemination of government information through the media and other communication platforms.

Importantly, the order does not replace Tikriha’s existing assignment. He will continue as Managing Director of the Chhattisgarh Warehousing Corporation while simultaneously holding the additional charge of the Public Relations Directorate.
