Law student who ran over 5 people in Vadodara claimed he was not drunk
On Thursday March 14 , 2025 in Vadodara, Gujarat, a young man driving a car hit a scooter. He also crushed four other people. Due to which a woman died. While 4 others were injured.
The 20-year-old man who hit five people with his car in Vadodara, Gujarat on Thursday has denied that he was drunk during the incident. The man has also claimed that the airbag opened after the collision with a scooter rider. Due to which he could not see with his eyes and four other people standing on the roadside were crushed. The man has also denied driving the car at high speed.
While talking to the media, the youth Rakshit Chaurasia said, “There was a pit near the intersection. I saw the place and tried to get out from the side but due to the pit, my car collided with the scooter going ahead. Due to the shock, the airbag opened. Due to which I could not see anything ahead and other people were crushed. The speed of my car was not more than 50 KM per hour.
The accident happened late Thursday night
The accident happened late Thursday night around 12.30 near Karelibagh area. After this, Rakshit Chaurasia was arrested. He is a resident of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and is studying law in a university in Vadodara.
