Hindi language started developing after the year 1850. The language is a mixture of many dialects. If English can destroy everyone like the lava of a volcano, then Hindi is a lily which spreads on its own-Dr Rajesh Dubey
Raipur : Pragati College , Choubey Colony , Raipur observed Hindi Diwas through a commemorative event titled ‘Hindi Diwas samaroh‘
The event resonated with the presence of eminent Chief Guest Dr. Rajesh Dubey , Principal (Retired ) and a prominent speaker was welcomed with floral bouquets by the Principal of the Pragati College Dr. Soumya Nayyar after performing Puja of Goddes of knowledge Mother Saraswati by lightening lamp before her and singing Saraswati Stuti by the students and teachers present there .

Principal Dr. Soumya Nayyar delivered welcome address to the gathering, emphasising the paramount importance of Hindi language and expounding upon its enduring significance in our daily lives. She told the importance of the Hindi Diwas.
Dr. Rajesh Dubey , in his enlightening discourse, elucidated the essence of Hindi Diwas and offered guidance on integrating our mother tongue into our daily existence. He also provided insights into the judicious use of Western languages and cultures, primarily for professional purposes.

The Hindi Diwas celebration was conducted by Dr. Praveen Kumar yadav , Head of the BAMC Department while programm was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. KN Gajpal Head of the Education Department .
The students in attendance expressed their profound gratitude for the program, acknowledging a deeper understanding of the significance of Hindi Diwas.

In the next phase of the event Book Fair was organised by the library committee to create a connection with the importance of books among the students. Also, on this occasion, a slogan writing competition was organised in which Rajeshwari Toppo of B.Ed. 2nd year got the first position , Shikha Sahu of BAMC 2nd year got the second position and Reshmi Verma B.Ed. 2nd year got the third position .


The judges of the competition were Mrs. Nirupama and Ms. Anita.
Administrator Ms. Jyoti Thakur, all the professors and students of the Department of Education and Journalism were present in this program.
