Gujarat Election Results 2026: The results of the municipal corporation elections held in Gujarat have been declared today. More than 55 percent of the voters exercised their franchise in these municipal elections.

In the 2026 Gujarat local body elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again demonstrated its dominance. The results for all 15 municipal corporations across the state have now been declared, and the BJP has achieved a clean sweep, securing victory in every single municipal corporation.

In the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, the party showcased its strong foothold in urban politics by capturing 158 out of the 192 seats. With this victory, the BJP has sent a clear signal that its organizational strength in Gujarat remains exceptionally robust.

The BJP’s performance was equally spectacular in Rajkot; out of the 72 seats in the municipal corporation there, the BJP won 65, while the Congress had to settle for a mere 7 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) failed to even open its account in the region.

Meanwhile, in the Rajkot District Panchayat, the BJP won 34 out of the 36 seats, effectively sidelining the opposition almost entirely.

The BJP’s dominance was clearly evident in the Taluka Panchayats as well. The party registered significant victories in most of these bodies, including those in Dhoraji, Jetpur, Gondal, Kotda Sangani, Lodhika, Paddhari, Jasdan, Vinchhiya, and Jamkandorna. In Upleta, the contest was extremely close, ending in a tie. Overall, the BJP emerged victorious in 10 out of the 11 Taluka Panchayats.

The most resounding victory was witnessed in the Gondal civic body, where the BJP captured all 44 seats; neither the Congress nor the Aam Aadmi Party managed to win a single seat there. Across the entire Rajkot district, the BJP demonstrated its strong grip and organisational prowess by winning 155 out of the total 202 seats.
