Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited the tractor showroom in Devpuri for a surprise inspection during the GST Savings Festival. CM Sai interacted with farmers here and inquired about their feedback on the GST reduction and the savings they realised. Chief Minister Sai handed over the keys to farmers who had come to the showroom to purchase tractors and harvesters and extended his best wishes.

Chief Minister Sai handed over the keys of his new harvester to Ravi Kumar Sahu, a resident of Biroda, Abhanpur. Expressing his joy on this occasion, Ravi Sahu said, “I never dreamed I would buy a new harvester. I was thinking of buying a second-hand one. During the GST festival, I saved a total of ₹2 lakh on the purchase of a new harvester.

Only our sensitive Prime Minister Modi and farmer-friendly Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai can address the concerns of farmers. The Chief Minister personally handed me the keys to my new harvester and spoke with me very cordially. I told him that I have two acres of land, and now with the harvester, I will be able to do more farming through partnerships in the village.” Ravi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the GST reduction.

Chief Minister Sai handed over the keys to a new tractor to Gyanik Ram Sahu, a senior farmer from Abhanpur Kolar. Speaking with the Chief Minister, Sahu explained that the GST reduction had saved him ₹60,000 on the purchase of the new tractor. He said that this savings would enable his family to celebrate the festival even better.

Ashok Agarwal, proprietor of a tractor showroom, told the Chief Minister that the GST reduction has led to an increase in sales and increased customer enthusiasm. He said, “A tractor that previously cost ₹10.25 lakh is now available for ₹9.75 lakh, saving farmers ₹50,000. Similarly, a tractor that cost ₹7.62 lakh is now available for ₹7.21 lakh, and a tractor that cost ₹6.51 lakh is now available for ₹6.11 lakh. Price reductions and festival discounts are resulting in significant savings for farmers. Harvesters have also become cheaper after the GST rate reduction.”

GST Reduction Saves ₹7,000 on Bike Purchases

The Chief Minister then visited the Bajaj Bike Showroom in Sai Devpuri and had a cordial discussion with customers about the GST reduction. He handed over the keys of his new bike to M.D. Gulab, a resident of Santoshi Nagar, who had come to purchase a bike. Gulab explained that the GST reduction has saved him ₹7,000 on his bike purchase. He said, “I purchased a Bajaj Platina 110cc bike, which previously cost ₹89,000, and now costs ₹82,000.”

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that GST 2.0, implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has provided real relief to the general public, farmers, and consumers. Farmers are directly benefiting from the reduction in the prices of tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural equipment, making farming and livelihood easier.

He added that this GST savings festival has reduced the burden on consumers’ pockets and increased the joy of families during the festive season. This reform is not only boosting economic activity but also creating a new atmosphere of enthusiasm and prosperity in both rural and urban areas.
