Mumbai : The big news of this time has come out from Maharashtra politics. Devendra Fadnavis will be the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis’ name has been approved in the BJP core committee meeting. Its announcement will be made shortly after the meeting ends. It is reported that Fadnavis will stake claim to form the government today itself. He will take oath as CM tomorrow.
It was decided in the BJP core committee that the proposal of Devendra Fadnavis’ name would be brought in the MLAs’ meeting. Sudhir Mungantiwar and Chandrakant Patil both proposed the name of Devendra Fadnavis.
At the same time, the meeting of the BJP Legislature Party is going on in Mumbai. Sudhir Mungantiwar, Chandrakant Patil will propose the name of the new Chief Minister in Maharashtra while Ashish Shelar and Ravindra Chavan will approve the proposal was decided .
Will present claim to form government to the Governor at 3.30 pm
BJP will go to the Governor at 3.30 pm with the support letters of its allies along with their prominent leaders. Mahayuti leaders will also be there. BJP will meet the Governor and present claim to form the government. To choose the CM face, the Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani as observers for the meeting of the Maharashtra Legislature Party.
Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony are in full swing
Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony to be held on December 5 are going on in full swing. Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule is monitoring the preparations for the ceremony. On Monday December 2, 2024 he also reached the venue of the ceremony in South Mumbai. He had said, PM Modi will attend this program. Sources say that invitations have also been sent to the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states for this swearing-in ceremony. Many Union Ministers and other big BJP leaders may also attend the program.
