Raipur: Chhattisgarh can be made a developed state only by following the path of truth, equality, and humanity shown by Baba Guru Ghasidas. He said that our government is continuously working with commitment towards building an egalitarian, just, and prosperous Chhattisgarh in accordance with the ideals and dreams of great personalities. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said this while addressing the Guru Ghasidas Jayanti and three-day fair program organised in Lalpur of Mungeli district on Thursday December 18, 2025 .
On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced the establishment of a new college in Lalpur, increasing the amount given for the fair and program organisation from ₹ 10 lakh to ₹ 15 lakh, sanctioning ₹ 25 lakh for the construction of an entrance gate at the program venue, and ₹ 25 lakh for the renovation of the Mungeli Satnam Bhavan.

At the beginning of the program, Chief Minister Sai offered prayers at the Baba Guru Ghasidas temple and Jaithkham, seeking blessings for the happiness, prosperity, and welfare of the state.
Chief Minister Sai said that during the completion of two years of the government, most of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantees have been fulfilled. He informed that so far, 18 lakh houses have been sanctioned in the state. The Chief Minister said that the government is fully committed to purchasing paddy from every eligible farmer.
Chief Minister Sai said that in the last two years, there has been a significant increase in the area under paddy cultivation and the number of farmers. He informed that 70 lakh women in the state are being given the benefit of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Transparency is being ensured in the PSC selection process. The Chief Minister said that a new industrial policy has been implemented in the state, so that every son and daughter of every section of society can become an entrepreneur. He called for the development of Chhattisgarh with the cooperation of all. On this occasion, the Satnam Code of Conduct and an awareness calendar were also released.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that the Scheduled Castes Authority has been strengthened and its budget increased from ₹ 50 crore to ₹ 75 crore. Cabinet Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, inclusive development of all sections of society is taking place in the state.
He said that the government’s decision to provide ₹ 15 lakh each to five talented young men and women from the Scheduled Caste community for pilot training reflects the government’s foresight.

The program was attended by Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, MLA Doman Lal Korsewada, former MLA Sanam Jangde, District Panchayat President Shrikant Pandey, Vice President Shanti Devcharan Bhaskar, Janpad Panchayat President Lormi Varsha Vikram Singh, Nagar Panchayat President Sujit Verma, along with many public representatives, dignitaries, and a large number of followers of the Satnami community.
