Cyber crime is the biggest challenge of today’s time, awareness and technical expertise are necessary to prevent it – Chief Minister Sai
Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the state level cyber building at Police Headquarters Nava Raipur today on Wednesday December 4 , 2024 . On this occasion, he highlighted the challenges of cyber crime and the steps taken by the state government to deal with it. The Chief Minister said that cyber crime is the biggest challenge of today’s time and awareness and technical efficiency are very important to prevent it. The state government has taken many important steps in this direction, in which the inauguration of Cyber Bhawan is an important initiative.
Chief Minister Sai mentioned 410 public awareness programs organised in the state in the month of October, through which information about cyber security was conveyed to 23 lakh people. He said that public awareness campaign is the most important step to prevent cyber crime.
Chief Minister Sai praised the efforts of the police department and said that our police officers have caught a big gang involved in cheating on the pretext of crypto currency and share trading. This proves that Chhattisgarh Police is fully capable of tracking criminals. He mentioned the efforts made by the government to promote technical efficiency. He said that the contracts signed with IIT Bhilai and IIM Raipur will prove to be a milestone in solving problems like cyber crime and human trafficking. He praised the online module created by UNICEF for the safety of children.
In the program, MoU was signed with 8 banks for the welfare of police personnel, under which financial assistance will be provided to police officers and employees in adverse circumstances. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai launched the Samadhan Mobile App and Sashakt Mobile App created by the Police Department. He felicitated police officers and employees who did excellent investigation of cyber crimes.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that we will work with more efficiency towards preventing cyber crimes by adopting new technology. He congratulated all the officers and employees working in this direction for their efforts.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma underlined the work done in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai based on the policy of good governance and Sudarshan. He said that the Chhattisgarh government is emerging as the most excellent working government in the country today. Referring to the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that this scheme has touched the historic figure of reaching 70 lakh beneficiaries.
He said that the government is working on the principles of good governance and is determined to extend its benefits to every section of the society. He said that our government not only revived the police system, but also transformed it into an effective system. Praising the Chhattisgarh Police, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that the police has done a wonderful job in limiting Naxalism in the Bastar region. This is the result of the strong will and strategic efforts of the government. Speaking on cyber crimes, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the government has taken special initiatives to deal with cyber crime. Referring to the recently launched Cyber Awareness Fortnight, he said that people are being made aware of the safe use of the Internet. Major campaigns will be conducted from the Cyber Bhawan inaugurated today, which will prove to be a milestone in this direction. He said that the Chhattisgarh government is fully committed to its goals of good governance and will work in the interest of the public by taking even bigger decisions in the coming time.
On this occasion, MLA Guru Khushwant Saheb, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, Additional Chief Secretary Home Manoj Pinguwa, Additional Director General of Police Pradeep Gupta, SRP Kalluri, Vivekanand Sinha, Amit Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, Secretary Home Neha Champawat, Himshikhar Gupta and other officials were present.
