Credit for developing and making Raipur a beautiful capital goes to Dr. Raman, Brijmohan Agarwal , Rajesh Munat and Sunil Soni: Shiv Ratan

Raipur: Raipur City South bypoll in-charge and former MLA Shiv Ratan Sharma strongly countered the baseless allegations of Congress and said that today’s developed and beautiful capital Raipur is the result of the hard work and vision of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Raipur has been made an ideal and developed city during the mayor and MP tenure of candidate Sunil Soni under the leadership of BJP’s Dr. Raman Sing , Brijmohan Agarwal and Rajesh Munat .

During that period, many remarkable projects and development works have been done in Raipur, which includes expansion of roads, drainage system, promotion of cleanliness and greenery.
Sunil Soni’s contribution appreciated

Shiv Ratan Sharma said that Congress leaders are blinded by scams and corruption, due to which they are unable to see development work. He said that this is the reason why the public has thrown the Congress out of power.

Raipur MP and former minister Brijmohan Agarwal, who was an 8-time MLA from Raipur City South, and Sunil Soni, who was the Mayor and MP, together contributed significantly to the development of Raipur. During their tenure, work has been done on many aspects like infrastructure development, traffic management, expansion of health services, and smart city projects in Raipur. Under their leadership, Raipur has made its mark as a modern and organised city.

Construction of Gaurav Path in the capital, foundation of Canal Linking Road was laid.

• Thinking 50 years ahead, 33 water tanks were constructed and a 150 MLD water filter plant was installed.
• Jail Road was widened and upgraded.
• City bus operation was started in Raipur, which was later stopped by the Congress mayors.
• Many mohalla clinics were converted into hospitals.
• Beautification of Budhatalaab and installation of Swami Vivekananda’s statue.
• Construction of indoor and outdoor stadium in Raipur South Assembly.
• Construction of Municipal Corporation Raipur (White House).
• Construction of flyover at Tatibandh at a cost of Rs 119 crore.
• Our Raipur railway station will be more beautiful than the airport, work of station upgradation started with Rs 480 crore.
• Approval of Rs 757 crore for 365 projects for Smart City Raipur.
• Approval of 35 projects worth Rs 673.78 crore in Raipur Lok Sabha for providing clean drinking water to every household.

Approval of 75 km four-lane national highway from Raipur to Balodabazar.

• In AIIMS –
  Construction of road for entry into AIIMS from Sarona railway station for public convenience.

Construction of critical unit in AIIMS and many other development works were done.

• An amount of Rs 19 crore from MP fund was released for infrastructure development in about 460 Gram Panchayats, Nagar Panchayats of Raipur Lok Sabha.

BJP’s commitment to public development

Sharma said that Bharatiya Janata Party considers development and public service as its main objective. For BJP, serving the public and making their life easier is paramount. He said that in the upcoming Raipur South by-election, BJP’s objective is to take this development of Raipur to new heights. Public support remains for BJP, and we promise to make Raipur an even more beautiful and developed city under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai .
