Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reached flood-affected Sukma on Monday to assess the situation on the ground and review the ongoing relief and rescue operations.

Sai visited areas affected by flooding and waterlogging and inspected arrangements made at relief centres for people displaced by the floods.

The Chief Minister interacted with affected residents staying at the relief centres and enquired about their well-being and the assistance being provided to them.

He also sought a detailed briefing from the district administration on the flood situation, rescue operations and measures being taken to support affected families.

‘There Must Be No Shortcoming in Relief and Rescue’

Sai directed officials to ensure the safety of people in affected areas and make adequate arrangements for food, safe drinking water, healthcare and other essential requirements.

“There must be no shortcoming of any kind in relief and rescue operations,” the Chief Minister said, directing the administration to ensure that necessary assistance reaches affected people.

Emphasising the state government’s support for families facing the crisis, Sai said:

“In this hour of crisis, the state government stands firmly with the affected families.”

The Chief Minister asked officials to remain alert to the needs of people in flood-hit areas and ensure that essential facilities at relief centres are maintained without disruption.
