CM met Union Home Minister Amit Shah: Vishnu Deo Sai said – Our government is working towards ending Naxalism by 2026

Raipur/ New Delhi: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi today on Wednesday November 20 , 2024 . The state’s development, security and other major issues were discussed in the meeting. CM Sai said, “Just met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and apprised him of the Naxalite activities going on in Chhattisgarh. Under his guidance and the double engine government, we are rapidly fighting Naxalism. Our government is working towards eliminating Naxalism by March 2026.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai informed about the progress of operations being conducted in Naxal-affected areas and the action of security forces. The Chief Minister said that many important steps are being taken by the state government in the field of road construction, education, health and employment, which is bringing positive change in Naxal-affected areas. The Home Minister appreciated these efforts and assured all possible cooperation from the Center. Strategies for Naxal eradication were also discussed in the meeting.

Chief Minister Sai said that under the guidance of Home Minister Amit Shah, the fight against Naxalism is being fought strongly in Chhattisgarh. On the security front, our government has achieved great success in anti-Naxal operations. In the last 11 months, about 200 Naxalites have been killed, while more than 700 Naxalites have surrendered. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, our government is moving towards the resolution of ending Naxalism by March 2026. The Chief Minister said that the Central Government is committed to security and development in the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured the Chhattisgarh government of all possible cooperation against Naxalism.

International air service will start soon from Raipur Airport

Earlier, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan in New Delhi today. In the meeting, discussions were held regarding strengthening the air connectivity of the state and development of regional airports. The Union Minister has agreed to start international air service from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur soon. Along with this, the process of developing a cargo hub at Raipur Airport will also be started soon and consent has been received to start air service from Raipur Airport to Patna and Ranchi.
