Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Tuesday May 20, 2025 formally inaugurated 226 new houses built under Atal Awas Yojna at Murmunda village under Sushasan Tihaar and handed over their dream homes to the beneficiaries. On this occasion, while doing Grihapravesh to Tushar Sahu, owner of House No. 226, he said, today we are handing over not just a house but the home of your dreams to you. This moment is not only a memorable milestone in your life but also in the welfare efforts of the government.
Congratulating all the beneficiaries, the Chief Minister said that it is the priority of the Chhattisgarh government that every citizen of the state should get dignified and safe housing. He said that schemes like Atal Awas not only provide housing facilities to the general public, but also play an important role in their social and economic empowerment. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Vijay Sharma was also present on this occasion.

Years of dream come true
Beneficiary of house number 226 Tushar Sahu was overwhelmed after receiving keys from the Chief Minister and said that he had always dreamt of living in a beautiful, clean and peaceful environment. This dream of years came true today. It is a moment of pride and emotion for me to get Griha Pravesh ( Housewarming Ceremony ) done by the Chief Minister. He told that this 2 BHK house is equipped with all the necessary facilities and is also affordable as compared to the market price. . Sahu was present on this occasion with his parents and family members. The Chief Minister also visited his house and appreciated the construction quality.

Many beneficiaries got keys
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also handed over the keys of their houses to Rupnarayan Dewangan, Arun Sahu, and Chandrashekhar Rathore. Arun Sahu, owner of building number 215, who is posted in Bhilai Steel Plant, said that entering my dream house before retirement is the most pleasant experience of my life. Through Atal Awas Yojana, the state government has given us the opportunity which was awaited for years.
The gift of a bright residential future
Under the Atal Awas Yojana run by Chhattisgarh Housing Board, a total of 226 independent houses and 12 shops have been constructed on about 10 acres of land in village Murmunda district Durg at a cost of Rs 24 crore 57 lakh 98 thousand. Of these, 55 buildings are of EWS category, 69 LIG-A type, 86 B type, 16 MIG type. The sale of all the buildings has been completed and the registry of 7 buildings has also been done.
