Raipur: Chhattisgarh will celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Mund tomorrow on November 15 , 2025 as Tribal Pride Day, with programmes to be held in all districts of the state. The day will be marked with dignity and cultural significance through a series of events organised at district headquarters, where the Chief Minister, Ministers, Members of Parliament and MLAs will attend as chief guests. On this occasion, the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be broadcast live through the official YouTube channel and DD News, and arrangements have been made at every venue for viewing and listening. During the programme, the Chief Minister’s message will be read out, and short films based on schemes such as PM Janman, Aadi Karmayogi and Dharti Aaba will also be screened.

According to the schedule issued by the state government, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will attend the main Tribal Pride Day ceremony at the Bastar district headquarters in Jagdalpur, where Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap and MLA Kiran Singh Deo will be present as special guests.

In Durg, the Tribal Pride Day programme will be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma; in Bilaspur by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao; in Raipur by Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu; in Rajnandgaon by Speaker Dr Raman Singh; in Balrampur by Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam; in Bemetara by Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel; in Manendragarh–Chirmiri–Bharatpur by Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal; in Korba by Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan; in Raigarh by Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma; in Surguja by Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary; in Janjgir–Champa by Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade; in Mahasamund by Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb; in Kanker by School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav; and in Korea by Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agrawal.

Similarly, the programme in Balodabazar–Bhatapara district will feature MP Brijmohan Agrawal as chief guest; in Surajpur MP Chintamani Maharaj; in Khairagarh–Chhuikhadan–Gandai MP Vijay Baghel; in Kabirdham MP Santosh Pandey; in Balod MP Bhojraj Nag; in Gariaband MP Roopkumari Choudhary; in Jashpur MP Radheshyam Rathiya; in Sakti MP Kamlesh Jangde; in Bijapur MP Mahesh Kashyap; and in Sarangarh–Bilaigarh Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh. In Mohla–Manpur–Chowki, the programme will be attended by MLA Domanlal Korsewada; in Dhamtari by Ajay Chandrakar; in Kondagaon by MLA i Lata Usendi; in Mungeli by MLA Punnulal Mohle; in Narayanpur by MLA Vikram Usendi; in Sukma by MLA Neelkanth Tekam; in Dantewada by MLA Chaitram Atami; and in Gaurela–Pendra–Marwahi by MLA Pranav Kumar Marpachchi.

The Tribal Pride Day celebrations will also include the felicitation of family members of tribal freedom fighters, prominent members of the tribal community and meritorious students. Exhibitions showcasing tribal culture, cuisine, art, handicrafts and government welfare schemes will form an important part of the district-level ceremonies, along with beneficiary interaction programmes. Schools, ashram schools and residential institutions across the state will organise various activities to mark the occasion
