Korea( Chhattisgarh ) After confirmation of Bird Flu (Avian Influenza) infection in the government poultry farm, more than 34 thousand chicks, eggs and chickens were buried overnight on Monday , March 31, 2025 . Along with this, a blockade has been put on the district border and the sale of eggs and chickens has been banned in the infected and surveillance zone for the next three months.

Collector Chandan Sanjay Tripathi said that there will be a ban on the sale of eggs and chicken for three months or till further orders. The infected zone has been declared to be one kilometer. The boundary is from the hatchery to Janakpur in the east, from the hatchery to Dhauratikara in the west, from the hatchery to Khuthanpara in the north and from the hatchery to MLA Nagar in the south. The surveillance zone is 10 kilometers from the hatchery. Which is restricted from the boundary of the infected zone to Mahora Bridge to Shankarpur, Chharcha Basti and Badgaon.
Where the movement of poultry products from the infected zone has been completely banned. Markets and shops of poultry and co-products chicken, eggs will be closed in the surveillance zone. Also, door to door delivery has also been stopped. All the poultry products of the hatchery have been destroyed within a few hours of the report of bird flu infection coming from the National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases, Bhopal. Oseltamivir tablets are being distributed regularly to every employee involved in the destruction team. After the case is confirmed, a Rapid Response Team (RRT) has been formed. Which will monitor the situation of bird flu and also take action.

Control room established, vigilance increased

Collector Tripathi said that local citizens are appealed to avoid spreading any rumors. Because legal action will be taken on spreading rumors. Also, a district control room has been established. Common citizens can contact the control room in any emergency situation. Whose number is 07836-232469. Continuous announcements are being made to prevent bird flu. Also, investigation is being done by putting up barriers on District Surajpur, Manendragarh. Chirmiri Bharatpur, Bilaspur road. At the same time, hens, chicks and eggs will be seized and destroyed from private shops and houses in the infection area. Compensation will also be given as per the government guidelines.
