Chhattisgarh is setting new standards in health service delivery: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that the Chhattisgarh government is setting new standards in the field of health service delivery. Our commitment and service spirit towards better health facilities in the state has resulted in a historic increase in the number of government hospitals receiving the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certificate.

Raipur: Chief Minister Sai said that in the year 2024-25, more than 427 government health institutions have achieved National Quality Certification, which is the highest compared to previous years. This is a proof of the unprecedented improvement in the health system of the state and ensuring last mile access to the service.

The Chief Minister congratulated Health Minister i Shyam Bihari Jaiswal and the entire team of the Health Department for their dedicated working style and visionary efforts. He especially appreciated the efforts being made to provide quality health services to remote areas. Referring to the achievement of ‘Chintagufa’ Primary Health Center in the highly Naxal-affected area of ​​​​Sukma district, he said that the area which was once a symbol of challenges, today the health center there has been honored at the national level for its service quality. Chintagufa Health Center has been awarded the National Quality Assurance Certificate of the Government of India on November 28, 2024 .

Health Minister Jaiswal said that a total of 436 government hospitals and health centers in the state have received quality certification, while the evaluation of 644 other institutions is in process. This shows that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously committed to making health facilities consistent, reliable and excellent.

It is worh mentioning that National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification is provided only to those hospitals which meet strict standards such as available services, patient rights, input quality, clinical services, infection control and quality management. This certification is provided only after thorough evaluation by a team of experts.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed confidence that through the continuous initiatives of the government and dedicated team work, Chhattisgarh will soon be among the leading health service providing states of the country.
