*Instructions to open Jan Aushadhi Kendra in all the wards of the capital

CG: Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal inaugurated the Jan Aushadhi Kendra at Kalibari Chowk on the occasion of Jan Aushadhi Diwas on Friday March 7, 2025 and and instructed the officials purpose behind the Aushadhi Kendra . On this occasion, he said that this Jan Aushadhi Kendra has been opened as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where medicines will be available at 80 to 90 percent less price than the market. This will directly benefit the general public, especially the poor and needy people, who were unable to get proper treatment due to expensive medicines, Agarwal added.

While giving information, MP Agrawal said that there is a plan to open 70 Jan Aushadhi Kendras in all 70 wards of the capital and 200 in the entire Raipur Lok Sabha constituency, which will not only provide medicines to the poor at affordable rates but will also provide employment opportunities to the youth. He directed the concerned officials to implement this scheme expeditiously.

MP Agrawal also announced that the Jan Aushadhi Kendra located outside the OPD in the district hospital will be shifted towards the main road, so that patients can get more convenience. For this, he announced to give ₹ 5 lakh from the MP fund.

CMHO Dr. Mithilesh Chaudhary, Manager of Prime Minister’s Indian Jan Aushadhi Project Anees Voditelvar, Corporation Chairman Suryakant Rathore, Councilor Amar Gidwani, Councilor Amber Agarwal, Councilor Ravi Sonkar, departmental officers, medical staff and hundreds of local citizens were present in this program.

This initiative of expansion of Jan Aushadhi Kendras will make health services more accessible and affordable in Raipur Lok Sabha constituency, which will benefit thousands of people of the state.
