Jashpur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai gave a big gift to Kunkuri on Saturday June 21, 2025 . He performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the Matra -Shishu hospital having facility of 50-beds to be built at a cost of Rs. 8.77 crores in Ginabahar and the Block Public Health Unit to be built at a cost of Rs. 50 lakhs.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Sai said that today another link of development is being added in the field of health in the district.

The construction of the hospital will greatly benefit the mothers, sisters and children of this area. Along with Kunkuri, people of Farsa Bahar, Kansabel and Duldula areas will benefit from it.
He further said that we are continuously working to expand health facilities. A 200-beds hospital is going to be built in Jashpur. Its tender has been floated. In the current budget, provision has been made to open a medical college in Jaspur . Besides nursing and physiotherapy colleges also will be opened in the district. Affordable treatment is being provided through Ayushman Card and generic medicine shops. Elderly people of all classes will get the benefit of “Vaya Vandan Yojana”, it is an important scheme for health security.
The facility of providing honorarium amount to ‘Mitanins’ online has been started. So that they can be paid on time.
Chief Minister Sai said that we are working to fulfill Modi’s guarantee. Construction of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is going on rapidly. Fulfilling the promise made to the farmers, 21 quintals of paddy is being purchased. Farmers are being given the price of paddy at Rs 3100. The amount of tendu leaves has been increased to Rs 5500 per standard sack. From Monday June 22 , 2025, the program of distribution of Charan Paduka will start in the state from the hands of the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah.
Chief Minister Sai said that with the aim of economic empowerment of more than 70 lakh mothers and sisters, Rs. 1 thousand are being provided every month under the “Mahtari Vandan Yojana’. 5 lakh 60 thousand landless agricultural laborers have also been provided an amount of Rs. 10 thousand .
We are working to open Common Services Centre ( CSC ) in panchayats. Now the villagers will get the benefit of banking facilities, they will no longer have to go far to withdraw and deposit money. We are working with the goal of opening these CSC centers in all panchayats by the next Panchayati Raj Day. Continuous reforms are being done for public facilities. New revolutions have been brought in the registration of land. Now the transfer will be done along with the registration of land. Also, fake registration will be stopped.
Chief Minister Sai said that today is the World Yoga Day. You are requested to include yoga in your daily routine. Yoga is necessary to balance the mind with the cleanliness of the body for good health.
On the occasion, District Panchayat Chairman Salik Say, District Panchayat Vice President Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, Commissioner Narendra Dugga, IG Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Rohit Vyas, Superintendent of Police Shashimohan Singh, District Panchayat CEO Abhishek Kumar, Bharat Singh, Krishna Kumar Rai, Sunil Gupta, Upendra Yadav, Rajkumar Gupta, Aman Sharma, Gopal Kashyap, Manoj Jaiswal, Rajesh Chaudhary, Yashwant Yadav, Vikas Nag, public representatives, officers-employees and villagers were present.

With the construction of 50-beds Matra-Shishu Hospital, women and children of Kunkuri development block along with three other nearby development blocks Farasbahar, Kansabel, Duldula area will get the benefit of treatment. They will not need to go far. Pregnant women will get treatment and delivery related facilities as well as their regular health checkup will also be done here.
The availability of specialist doctors will facilitate the treatment of serious diseases of children. The hospital will bring big relief in the lives of the people living in the nearby rural areas. At the same time, the construction of the Block Public Health Unit to be built at a cost of Rs. 50 lakhs having lab testing facilities in the tribal dominated areas.
The Matra-Sishu Hospital and Block Public Health Unit will prove to be a strong step towards safe motherhood and healthy childhood for the people of the nearby areas including Kunukr, CM said added.
