Bypoll Results 2025 Live: BJP could not break AAP’s fort in Visavadar, Gujarat, Sanjeev Arora has a big lead in Ludhiana

Assembly Bypoll Result: The results of five assembly seats of four states including Ludhiana West of Punjab have been declared. According to the Election Commission, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Sanjeev Arora has won the Ludhiana West seat by a huge margin of votes, while AAP candidate Gopal Italia has won the Visavadar seat of Gujarat by a huge margin of 17581 votes, while BJP candidate Rajendra Chhabra has won the Kadi (SC) seat of Gujarat.
Assembly Bypoll Result: The results of by-elections held on five assembly seats of West Bengal, Gujarat and Kerala including Ludhiana West of Punjab will be declared today. Counting of votes is going on since 8 am. Voting was conducted peacefully on Thursday. ECI has made tight security arrangements for counting of votes today.
Assembly Bypoll Result Live News: The results of the by-elections held on five assembly seats in four states including Ludhiana West of Punjab will be declared today. Counting of votes has started from 8 am. The Election Commission (ECI) has made tight security arrangements and has made extensive arrangements for a smooth counting process.
According to the Election Commission, ruling Aam Aadmi Party candidate Sanjeev Arora is leading on Ludhiana West seat. AAP candidate Gopal Italia, who was leading in the initial counting of votes on Visavadar seat of Gujarat, has been overtaken by BJP candidate Kirit Patel, while BJP candidate Rajendra Chhabra is leading in Kadi.
Apart from this, Congress candidate Aryadan Shaukat is leading in Nilambur, Kerala. The Congress candidate is leading by 212 votes over CPIM’s M Swaraj. At the same time, TMC candidate Alifa Ahmed is leading on Kaliganj seat of West Bengal.
On Thursday, voting was held on five assembly seats including Ludhiana West in Punjab, Kaliganj in West Bengal, Vidaswar-Kadi in Gujarat and Nilambur in Kerala. Ludhiana West is very special for the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, as AAP has fielded its Rajya Sabha MP and industrialist Sanjeev Arora from this seat. While Congress has fielded senior leader Bharat Bhushan Ashu, BJP has fielded Jeevan Gupta and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has fielded Parupkar Singh Ghuman.
These by-elections were necessitated on one seat each in Gujarat, West Bengal and Punjab due to the death of the sitting MLAs there, while by-elections were held on another seat in Kerala and Gujarat due to the resignation of MLAs. The Election Commission monitored the entire process and now all eyes are on the results.
