BRICS Nation Support India: The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir has been condemned internationally. The BRICS Parliamentary Forum held in Brasilia on Friday June 6, 2025 strongly condemned this attack and resolved to take united action against terrorism. This has proved to be a big setback for Pakistan, because apart from China, many Muslim countries are also included in it.
Apart from China, many Muslim countries are also included in the BRICS parliamentary panel. Representatives from India, Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa as well as Iran, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Ethiopia and Indonesia participated in this forum. India was led by Lok Sabha MP Om Birla in the meeting. After Operation Sindoor, India has sent all-party delegations to different countries of the world, where efforts have been made to expose Pakistan’s terror.
Agreement with Om Birla’s words
In his address, Om Birla said that terrorism has become a global crisis today, which can be faced only with international cooperation. He advocated four major steps. These include issues like stopping financial aid to terrorist organisations, speeding up intelligence sharing, preventing misuse of technology and increasing cooperation in investigation and judicial process. Om Birla’s points were unanimously accepted by all the countries present in the meeting and included in the final declaration.
Lok Sabha Secretariat issued a statement
According to the statement issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, the joint declaration strongly condemned India’s Pahalgam attack and the parliaments of all BRICS countries agreed to work together against terrorism. Apart from terrorism, issues like AI, global trade, inter-parliamentary cooperation, and international peace and security were also discussed in the meeting.
