Nitish will keep providing marg darshan to the new State govt: Lakhendra Paswan
Two-time BJP MLA from Patepur and Minister for SC/ ST Welfare Lakhendra Paswan told press persons after cabinet meeting, “Nitish Kumar at the Cabinet meeting said that he has made developed and prosperous Bihar but he was happy and composed to say that he wanted to be member of the Upper House [Rajya Sabha] but he would continue providing his guidance [marg darshan] to the new government in the State.”
Kumar also get photographed with his Cabinet colleagues and expressed his blessings to all, Mr Paswan added.

Nitish Kumar helms his last Cabinet meeting
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday (April 14, 2026), held his last Cabinet meeting, ahead of his expected resignation.
Following the Cabinet meeting, which lasted 25 minutes, Nitish Kumar headed towards his official residence 1, Anne Marg. Later, he is likely to go to Raj Bhawan, a few yards away, at 3.15 p.m. to tender his resignation from the post.
It was an emotional moment for all but Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was as usual in the Cabinet meeting, BJP leader and Cabinet minister Ram Kripal Yadav told media persons after the cabinet meeting.
JD(U) leader and Cabinet colleague Leshi Singh too echoed similar voices after the Cabinet meeting.

Nitish Kumar to hold Cabinet meeting at 11 a.m. at the State Secretariat
After the Cabinet meeting Kumar is likely to go to the Raj Bhawan to tender his resignation to the Governor Lt. Gen ( Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain.
At 3 p.m. at BJP headquarters the BJP legislature meeting is said to be held and thereafter an NDA legislature meeting will be held to elect its new leader, which will be announced by central observer Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
At 5 p.m. the elected NDA leader is said to go to the Raj Bhawan to stake claim to form the next government in the State.
