The NDA’s seat-sharing formula for the Bihar elections has been finalised. The BJP and JDU have been allocated 101 seats each, while the LJP has been allocated 29, the RLM six, and the HAM six. Chirag Paswan stated that the seat-sharing arrangement was amicable.

New Delhi : The NDA’s seat-sharing arrangement for the Bihar Assembly elections has been finalized. After a marathon meeting in New Delhi, the picture became clear as to which party in the alliance will contest how many seats. The BJP will contest 101 seats, the JDU 101, Chirag Paswan’s LJP (R) 29, Upendra Kushwaha’s RLM 6, and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM 6. Dharmendra Pradhan, the BJP’s in-charge in Bihar, stated that the seat distribution was completed in a cordial atmosphere by the NDA allies.

The seat distribution within the NDA has made it clear that the younger brother-elder brother dynamic has ended this time, as both the BJP and JDU have been allocated equal seats (101 each). However, Bihar BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal had already hinted at this. He stated after a meeting in Patna that no one would play the role of older brother-younger brother in this election.
