Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over appointment letters to 60,244 newly selected police constables at the Defence Expo Ground on Sunday June 15, 2025 .

On Sunday June 15, 2025 the Yogi government distributed the appointment letter of 60,244 constable civilian police direct recruitment in the UP Police Department. The constable police appointment letter organized by the Yogi government was distributed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Let us tell you that for the first time in the history of the state, the Yogi government successfully conducted the constable recruitment examination on such a large scale in the police department. Not only this, the Yogi government has created a new record by completing the recruitment process safely and giving high-tech training along with giving joining in record time.

On this occasion, CM Yogi said- In the last 8 years, UP government has given 8.50 lakh government jobs. In the last 8 years, the double engine government has worked to change the perception of UP by making it riot free. Smart policing is the need of the hour. Before 2017, there was nepotism, selection was not possible without paying money, but today it is a thing of the past. Today appointments are being given on the basis of merit. In the last 8 years, 2 lakh 18 thousand policemen were recruited in the police. When the first recruitment took place in 2018, the candidates were sent to CRPF training center for training. But today the training of all these will now be done in UP.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “The recruitment and appointment letter distribution program of 60,244 policemen in the Uttar Pradesh Police Force is happening at a time when Prime Minister Modi’s 11-year tenure of service to the country, good governance and welfare of the poor has brought about a change in the life of every Indian in the form of New India. In the last 8 years, the double engine government of the state has given an example of what can be the informativeness and transparency of the examination by giving more than eight and a half lakh government jobs to the youth of Uttar Pradesh.”

Double lock strong room, CCTV along with all facilities will be available

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 60,244 constables have been directly recruited with the aim of strengthening and modernizing the police force in the state. The country’s largest police recruitment process so far was completed with unprecedented technological innovations and transparency, which is being praised not only in the state but all over the country. Under the Constable Civil Police Direct Recruitment-2023, 48,196 male and 12,048 female candidates were selected. This process was conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. A total of 48.17 lakh applications were received for this examination, out of which 15.49 lakh were women.

Conducting the examination on such a huge scale was a big challenge for both the government and the recruitment board, which was successfully completed with state-of-the-art technology and strict monitoring. The Yogi government made many innovations to ensure complete transparency in the recruitment process. Selection of examination centres was restricted to government or aided schools in the city area and centres found suspicious in the past were completely excluded. For the security of question papers, ultra modern technologies like double locked strong rooms, 24×7 CCTV surveillance, biometric verification, facial recognition and real time Aadhaar verification were used. Apart from this, no private person was involved in the conduct of the examination and only gazetted officers were deployed.

Maximum number of youth from Agra got appointment letters.

Yogi government conducted the written exam in 10 shifts in five days and the OMR sheets were scanned under CCTV surveillance. The exam results were released in record time and 1.74 lakh candidates were declared eligible for the next stage. Document verification (DV), physical standard test (PST) and running (PET) were completed in 75 districts and 12 PAC battalions of the state under strict monitoring and through RFID technology. Finally, the selection list of a total of 60,244 candidates was released on March 13. The recruitment process provided opportunities to the youth of every district of the state. The highest number of candidates were selected from Agra (2,349), while the lowest number was selected from Shravasti (25). At the same time, 1,145 candidates were also selected from other states Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi etc. Keeping in mind the social diversity, candidates from General, EWS, OBC, SC and ST categories got representation.

High-tech training given to all candidates

The Yogi government has not only selected the candidates of constable civil police direct recruitment, but the training system has also been improved. All the candidates are being given high-tech training and the capacity of training centers has also been increased, so that quality training can be ensured.
