Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday June 15, 2025 has expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the people of the state, especially the people of Bastar region, to Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for approving the construction of Keshkal bypass in 4 lanes with paved shoulder standard at a cost of Rs 307.96 crore. He said that this bypass will remove traffic obstacles in the Keshkal Valley region and ensure smooth, safe and uninterrupted travel.

Chief Minister Sai said that Bastar region is developing rapidly under the double engine government. He said that this approval is the result of the coordinated development policy of the Central and State Government, which is another concrete step towards connecting tribal areas like Bastar to the mainstream. For this historic approval, Chief Minister Sai expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for their vision and initiative and called it a decisive step for the development of Bastar region.

It is worth mentioning that Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has tweeted and informed that to make the Keshkal Valley region on National Highway-43 (new NH-30) in Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh smooth and safe, approval has been given for the upgrade of 11.380 km long 4-lane bypass at a cost of Rs 307.96 crore. This bypass will be in accordance with the paved shoulder standard and its construction will give a new dimension to connectivity in the Bastar region. This project will especially provide convenience in crossing the difficult geographical section of Keshkal Valley .

Construction of bypass will not only provide an alternative route but will also provide faster, smoother and seamless travel experience to the drivers.
Bypass construction will reduce traffic pressure in urban areas, which will provide relief to local citizens from the problem of jam and accidents. Besides , pollution levels will also decrease, which will also promote environmental balance.
