The sensational case of rape and blackmailing of three Hindu girl students of a private college in the capital Bhopal is gaining momentum. On Monday, there was a ruckus in the district court premises when a group of lawyers beat up three accused. This incident has further increased the tension in the city, while Hindu organizations have protested in the district hospital and demanded that the accused be handed over to the public.

The police on Monday presented the three accused in the district court amid tight security. The court sent the main accused Farhan Ali on police remand till April 30 and Ali till May 2. However, the anger of the lawyers in the court premises erupted when the police were taking them out of the courtroom and bringing them to the jeep. According to eyewitnesses, the angry lawyers attacked the accused while shouting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogans. The police had to struggle a lot to control the situation.
