All schools, colleges and universities closed for three days in Punjab
Amidst the tension, the Punjab government has decided to close all government, private and aided schools, colleges and universities for the next three days. Education Minister Harjot Bains gave information in this regard on Thursday. Bains posted on social media and said that in view of the current situation, this decision has been taken by the government in the whole of Punjab. Earlier, a decision was taken to close the schools in the border area. This decision was being taken by all the Deputy Commissioners at their own level, but now after increasing the tension, it has been decided to implement the orders in the whole of Punjab. At present, these orders have been issued for three days and a decision will be taken further keeping in mind the situation. Schools have also been closed in Chandigarh and Panchkula.

New post built near airport in view of security
In view of security, police officials have built another post under Sector-31 police station of Chandigarh. This post has been built in Bahlana near the airport. In this, Sub Inspector Kuldeep Kumar from Industrial Area Police Station has been appointed as the post in-charge. Apart from this, two ASIs and 15 constables have been deployed at Bahlana post. In this, ASI Surjit Singh from Sector-17 police station, ASI (LR) Avtar Singh from District Cell, constable Surinder Pal from Sector-17 police station, Sanjeev Kumar from Sector-3 police station, Amit Kumar from Sector-39 police station, Muskan, Minaxi and Rajiv from Industrial Area police station, constable Sandeep Kumar from Sector-36 police station, Lavish from Sector-31 police station, Anil from Hallomajra outpost, Manish, Preeti and Sanjay from Sector 34 police station, Kamaljit Kaur from Sector 43 bus stand outpost, Ritu Bala from Bapu Dham outpost, Harbhajan Kaur from Mauli Jagran police station have been deployed.

Governor directed to increase security of water treatment plant
Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria has directed to deploy police force to increase security of water treatment plant. On Thursday, Gulab Chand Kataria visited the power station in Kishangarh and the water treatment plant located in Sector 28. He has said that the supply of electricity and water in the city is better in every situation. During the visit, the Administrator held extensive talks with officials and technical staff at both the sites. He sought detailed information about the operational capacity, efficiency, challenges and future plans of both the essential service units.

Missile fragments found in Bathinda village
Fragments of drone missile have been found in Bathinda village Tungwali and another place including Beed Talab. At the place where large pieces were found in the fields in Tungwali, the goods of the farmer’s house near there were also broken by the blast. Apart from this, when the blast took place in Beed Talab, people came out of their homes. People told that if this blast had happened in the residential area, there could have been a big loss of life. People spent the whole night in the shadow of fear.

Sounds of explosions kept coming till late night
After Pathankot airbase and Mamun Cantt, several explosions were heard at night. At the same time, explosions continued for a long time in Ferozepur and Bathinda.
