After a two-day stay in Chhattisgarh, President Draupadi Murmu left for New Delhi, was given a warm farewell at the airport
Raipur: President Draupadi Murmu left for New Delhi by a special plane this evening after her two-day stay in Chhattisgarh. Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, MP Raipur Brijmohan Agarwal along with other public representatives, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, DGP Ashok Juneja gave her a warm farewell at Swami Vivekananda Airport in the capital Raipur.
It is worth mentioning that the President Draupadi Murmu came on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh on October 25 and 26 ,2024 . During this, she graced various programs organised in Raipur and Durg district. Convocations of 04 high-level educational institutions were held where President of India Draupadi Mur mu was chief guest of the ceremonies, which include convocation of AIIMS Raipur NIT Raipur, IIT Bhilai and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Science and Ayush University Chhattisgarh Nava Raipur.
In a another program organised at Purkhauti Muktangan in Nava Raipur, financial assistance of one thousand rupees each from the Chhattisgarh government was transferred directly to the bank accounts of 70 lakh beneficiary women of Mahtari Vandan Yojana before Diwali from the hands of President Murmu. This innovative scheme is being run by the Chhattisgarh government from March 2024 for the empowerment and economic self-reliance of women. This scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 10, 2024 through a virtual program. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 5878 crore 37 lakh has been given to the beneficiary women in 9 installments so far. During this period, President Draupadi Murmu had a cordial discussion with the beneficiary women of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. On this occasion, she also inaugurated Purkhauti Muktangan of Sarguja bloack .
