The controversy over Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s statement of doing dirty work for America continues. Meanwhile, when the US State Department spokesperson was asked about this during a press briefing, she avoided it.

Responding to a question related to the statement of Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said that Foreign Minister Marco Rubio will talk to the foreign ministers of both India and Pakistan on the current issue. We are keeping an eye on the developments in this sector. We are in touch with the governments of India and Pakistan at various levels. We are encouraging all parties to find a solution to this. The whole world is watching us but I do not have any additional information in this regard.

In fact, Pakistan’s Defense Minister had admitted in an interview to Sky News that Pakistan has a long history of supporting terrorism and terror funding. During a conversation with Sky News, he said that we have been doing this dirty work for America for 30 years. Khawaja Asif, who talked about an all-out war with India, had said that Lashkar-e-Taiba is over in Pakistan.

Khawaja Asif admitted that some links of Lashkar with Pakistan have been found in the past. However, he said that now this terrorist organization is over. He had said that Pakistan is on high alert. We will use our nuclear weapons only when there is a direct threat to our existence. If there is a war, we are mentally prepared for it too. There is a very clear possibility that war may happen in the next two to three or four days. Asif said that if there is any threat to Pakistan’s sovereignty, we are 100 percent ready to face it. There is a danger of war in the next few days but it can be avoided.
