Raipur: Chaitra Navratri is starting from tomorrow. Due to this, meat sale has been banned in the capital on Sunday. On the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and Chaitri Chandra festival on March 30, there will be a ban on the sale of non-veg in Chhattisgarh. An order has been issued to keep all meat shops closed. Legal action will be taken if meat is sold.
According to the order, animal slaughter houses and all meat selling shops located in the entire area of Raipur Municipal Corporation will be kept closed. At the same time, if any shop is found selling meat, it will be confiscated and action will be taken.
Instructions to inspect
Raipur Municipal Corporation has appealed to the people selling meat to keep their shops closed. Along with this, the corporation health officer and health officers and sanitation inspectors of all zones have been asked to follow the order. At the same time, instructions have been given to inspect the concerned area continuously.
Special cleanliness campaign around temples on Navratri festival
Raipur Mayor Meenal Chaubey has ordered in view of Navratri festival that a special cleanliness campaign will be run in the area around the temples on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri festival from March 30 to April 6. Also, there should be no encroachment around the temples and there should be no traffic jam around the temples due to cattle.
The Mayor has also asked all the zone commissioners to monitor the cleanliness system. So that the devotees get a clean environment around the temples during the special worship festival on Navratri.
