Raipur: Chhattisgarh has completed a two-day training programme on the National e-Vidhan Application as the state Assembly prepares to move more of its work online. The programme gave officials and staff hands-on experience with the platform they will use to process legislative business and manage documents digitally.
The Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs’ NeVA coordinators, Aman Gautam and Sridhar Swamy, demonstrated how to operate the administration, questions and committee modules. Participants practised submitting Assembly questions and notices online, managing legislative documents and sharing information related to House proceedings.
One Platform for Questions, Records and Committee Work
The training focused on how staff can use a single platform for tasks such as processing questions and notices, maintaining legislative records securely and circulating information related to House business. Trainers said the application was designed to simplify these tasks and help staff complete them more quickly.
Officials and staff from the Assembly, CHiPS and NIC participated in the programme. The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs developed NeVA to help legislatures digitise their procedures and reduce their reliance on paper. In Chhattisgarh, the shift is expected to cut paperwork and make it easier for staff to manage and exchange legislative documents.
