In her address, President Murmu said that I am very happy to address this meeting of the Parliament. Today the country is seeing big decisions and policies being implemented at an extraordinary pace.
Counted the achievements of the government
The President said that by expanding the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, it has been decided to provide new houses to three crore additional families. For this, it is planned to spend five lakh 36 thousand crore rupees. Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan has been started for five crore people of the tribal society. A provision of 80 thousand crore rupees has been made for this. Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, it has been decided to provide health insurance to six crore senior citizens aged 70 years and above. They will get a health cover of Rs 5 lakh every year.
Special focus on creating new employment opportunities
He said, ‘My government has put special focus on the education of youth and creating new employment opportunities for them. PM Vidyalakshmi Yojana has been started to provide financial assistance to meritorious students in higher education. One crore youth will also be given internship opportunities in top 500 companies.’

She said that my government believes in empowering the country under the leadership of women, that is, in women-led development. Reservation for women in Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies through Nari Shakti Vandan Act is an important step in this direction. More than 91 lakh self-help groups are being empowered under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. More than 10 crore women of the country have been linked with it. A total amount of more than nine lakh crore rupees has been distributed to them through bank linkage. Our banking and digi payment sakhis are playing an important role in connecting people in remote areas to the financial system. Krishi sakhis are promoting natural farming and our livestock is getting stronger through Pashu sakhis. Drone Didi Yojana has become a medium of economic and technical empowerment of women. Today our youth is bringing glory to the country in every field from startups, sports to space. Through the My Bharat portal, lakhs of youth are joining the work of nation building.

What did he say on the National Education Policy?
The President said that my government is preparing a modern education system for the students through the National Education Policy. No one should be deprived of education, that is why education opportunities are being given in the mother tongue. By conducting various recruitment examinations in 13 Indian languages, language barriers have also been removed.
What did he say for the sports world?
She said that India’s teams have performed well everywhere, be it Olympics or Paralympics. Recently, India has also waved its flag in the World Chess Championship. By running the Fit India Movement, we are building strong youth power.
Big talk on the field of technology
The President said, ‘India AI Mission’ has been started to advance India’s contribution in the field of Artificial Intelligence. With the National Quantum Mission, India will be able to make a place in the row of leading countries of the world in this frontier technology.’
Referring to Corona and war-like situations in the world, he said, ‘The stability and resilience shown by the Indian economy despite global concerns like Covid and the subsequent situation and war is a proof of its strength. My government has taken many important steps to promote ease of doing business.’

Mention of PM Swanidhi Yojana and digital technology
She said that for decades, our brothers and sisters who earn their livelihood by setting up shops on the streets of our country remained out of the banking system. Today they are getting the benefit of PM Swanidhi Yojana. On the basis of digital transaction records, they get more loans to expand their business. Today India is making its presence felt as a major global player in the field of digital technology. The launch of 5G services in India along with the big countries of the world is a big example of this.
Also warned on cyber security
The President said that my government has used digital technology as a tool of social justice and equality. Digital payment is not limited to some people or some classes. Even the smallest shopkeeper in India is taking advantage of this facility. In our rapidly digitizing society, another important issue related to national security today is cyber security. Technologies like digital fraud, cyber-crime and deep fake have also become a challenge for social, economic and national security. Many steps have been taken to control these cyber crimes. There are also employment opportunities for youth in the field of cyber security.
Speaking on railway and metro network
She said that the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project has been completed and now the country will be connected by railway line from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Under this ambitious project, Chenab Bridge has been constructed which is the world’s highest rail bridge. Also, Anji Bridge has been built, the country’s first rail cable bridge. India’s metro network has now crossed the milestone of one thousand kilometers. India has now become the third largest country in the world in terms of metro network.
U-WIN portal launched
The President said, ‘U-WIN portal has been launched to keep accurate tracking of the vaccination program of pregnant women and children. So far, about thirty crore vaccine doses have been registered on this portal. Citizens have got health benefits from more than thirty crore e-tele-consultations through tele medicine.’

Self-reliant agricultural system is our goal
He said that modern and self-reliant agricultural system in India is our goal. My government is working dedicatedly to ensure fair price of crops to farmers and increase their income. A few weeks ago, the India Meteorological Department has completed 150 years. For weather ready and climate smart India, my government has started “Mission Mausam” at a cost of two thousand crore rupees, which will also benefit our farmers.
Said this on economic empowerment
The President said, ‘As a result of various steps taken for economic empowerment of the cooperative sector, many employment opportunities are being created. The year 2025 is being celebrated as the International Year of Cooperatives, in which India will make its significant contribution.’ She said that even decades after independence, our tribal and tribal society has been neglected, my government has given first priority to its welfare. ‘Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’ and ‘PM-Janman Yojana’ are direct examples of this. By running a special national mission, attention is also being paid to the health problems related to sickle cell of the tribal community. Under this mission, about five crore people have been screened.
Mention of Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav and PM Suraj Yojana
She said that the first Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav was organized so that the whole country can see the possibilities of the eight states of the North East. Along with the development of the Northeast, the government has started working on the action plan for the all-round development of the eastern states of the country, which will also provide new employment opportunities. PM Suraj Yojana has been expanded to provide easy loans to the backward classes of the society and sanitation workers. More than one crore Divyang identity cards have been issued to provide the benefits of government schemes to the disabled people President added.
