Raipur: . Mahak Narwase, a talented young cricketer from Rajnandgaon district, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday June 13, 2026 . Union Minister Giriraj Singh and MP Brijmohan Agrawal were also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Sai extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Mahak Narwase on her selection as the vice-captain of both the T-20 and ODI squads for the Indian women’s Under-19 cricket team’s upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. He honoured Mahak by presenting her with a shawl and a memento and wished her a bright future.
Chief Minister Sai stated that Mahak Narwase’s achievement is a source of pride and inspiration not only for her family or Rajnandgaon district but for the entire state of Chhattisgarh. He remarked that the state’s daughters are proving their mettle across various fields, including sports, and are carving out a new identity at the national level. Mahak has attained this milestone through hard work, discipline, and dedication, serving as an inspiration for the state’s youth, especially young women.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Mahak would deliver an outstanding performance in upcoming international competitions, bringing glory to both Chhattisgarh and the nation. Encouraging her, he said, “Play well, move forward, and scale new heights. Your success will give wings to the dreams of thousands of young players in the state.”, Sai added.
Chief Minister Sai stated that the state government is continuously working to encourage sporting talent and provide better opportunities for athletes. Mahak Narwase’s selection as the vice-captain of the Indian Under-19 women’s team is an excellent example of the flourishing sports environment in the state and the opportunities available to players. he remarked .
