Traffic management raised questions about traffic system
Akhilesh Yadav wrote on x, ‘Due to the closure of all the roads leading to Sangam, giving more importance to very special guests than pilgrims, devotees have to travel miles to reach the Maha Kumbh premises. Due to this, the elderly, children and women are facing extreme inconvenience, pain and fatigue. There is a jam like situation everywhere. The jam should be cleared immediately. No one should be more important than a true devotee. The traffic system should be such that everything runs smoothly parallel, the roads should not be closed for anyone. On the arrival of very special guests, the movement should be even more smooth and convenient, so that it seems that the system becomes better with the arrival of special people.’

No discrimination, no casteism anywhere: Modi
Speaking on the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, PM Modi said that there is no discrimination, no casteism anywhere in this tradition that has been going on for thousands of years. People from the south of India come in it, people from the east and west of India come. In Kumbh, the rich and the poor all become one. On one hand, Kumbh is organized in Prayagraj, Ujjain, Nashik and Haridwar, similarly, in the southern part, Pushkaram takes place on the banks of Godavari, Krishna, Narmada and Kaveri rivers. Similarly, from Kumbakonam to Tirukkad-Yur, Kood-Vasal to Tirucherai, there are many such temples, whose traditions are associated with Kumbh. ‘Kumbh’, ‘Pushkaram’ and ‘Ganga Sagar Mela’ – these festivals of ours are festivals that enhance our social interaction, harmony and unity.
