Grand Development Planned for Kudargarh Dham—A Center of Faith: Chief Minister Sai

Surajpur: On the auspicious occasion of the third day (Tritiya Tithi) of Chaitra Navratri today, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited Kudargarh Gram Panchayat, located within the Odgi Development Block of Surajpur district. Speaking on this occasion, Chief Minister Sai announced that Kudargarh Dham—a revered center of our faith—will undergo grand-scale development.

He noted that, with the blessings of the Mother Goddess, Chhattisgarh continues to advance steadily on the path of development. During the program, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various development projects worth ₹185 crore in the Surajpur district.

At the sacred shrine of Maa Kudargarhi, the Chief Minister performed worship and rituals in strict accordance with traditional rites, praying for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai remarked, “Today marks the auspicious festival of Chaitra Navratri, and I have come to the divine court of Maa Kudargarhi. I express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you—the residents of Surajpur—for granting me this privilege.”

The Chief Minister further added, “On this auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri, I offer my respectful salutations to the devotees who have arrived from every corner of the state to seek the blessings of Maa Kudargarhi. It brings me immense joy to witness the enthusiasm of devotees at the Goddess’s temples during Chaitra Navratri. Our deities serve not only as symbols of our faith but also infuse our lives with the vibrant colors of festivity.”

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister stated, “On this auspicious day, the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremonies for 76 development projects—collectively worth ₹185 crore—have been conducted in the Surajpur district. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the residents of Surajpur on this achievement.

These projects comprise the inauguration of 52 completed works worth ₹20 crore, as well as the foundation-laying for future works worth ₹164 crore.”

The Chief Minister stated that these projects encompass construction works related to roads, buildings, drinking water, education, reservoirs, and urban infrastructure.

Additionally, a newly constructed, fully-equipped guest house building was inaugurated at Kudargarh. Built at a cost of approximately ₹3.096 crore, this modern facility features excellent amenities designed specifically with the comfort of guests in mind.

The Chief Minister remarked that, with the blessings of the Goddess, the government is making continuous efforts to eradicate Naxalism from the Bastar region. To enhance convenience for devotees visiting Kudargarh Dham, a ropeway will soon be constructed, making the pilgrimage experience significantly more accessible.

The Chief Minister also announced that all essential amenities—including domes and electricity infrastructure—will be developed in the area to ensure the comprehensive and systematic development of Kudargarh Dham.

During the event, Chief Minister Sai flagged off the ‘Suposhan Rath’ (Nutrition Awareness Chariot), the ‘Criminal Awareness Rath,’ and the ‘Traffic Awareness Rath’ to promote public awareness regarding nutrition, crime prevention, and traffic safety within the district.

He emphasised that public awareness is crucial for ensuring better nutrition for women and children, noting that the well-being of women and children serves as the foundation for a happy and strong family. Furthermore, he urged everyone to remain vigilant regarding traffic rules, highlighting that adherence to these regulations can prevent road accidents and save the lives of countless people.

Chief Minister Sai noted that the nutrition program in Surajpur district is being effectively implemented through the production of ‘Ready-to-Eat’ food supplements, thereby benefiting women and children. He described this initiative as a significant step toward the holistic development of the district.

Extending his greetings on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam stated that this auspicious festival brings a message of renewed energy and prosperity.

He affirmed that the state government is working tirelessly for the advancement of farmers and remains committed to boosting their incomes and strengthening the rural economy through various schemes. He also highlighted that the organisation of the ‘Sarguja Olympics’ has opened up new sporting opportunities for athletes in the region.

Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade expressed her hope that, on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, the blessings of the Goddess would continue to shower upon all the residents of the district.

The government is continuously striving for the empowerment of women and children. He stated that efforts are underway to provide better nutrition to women and children by strengthening Anganwadi services. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, continuous work is being undertaken for the development of your regions.

Present on this occasion were the Chairman of the Forest Development Corporation, Ram Sevak Paikra, along with numerous public representatives, senior district officials, dignitaries, and a large number of devotees.
